Consumers need to be made aware that Local Authorities who receive Electrical items at their Recycling Centres, are selling or allowing them to be picked up and taken away to another part of the Country, or even abroad. Some of these companies are actually shredding them to allow reprocessing, which in itself isn't bad, but we believe at EEESafe that these goods should be assessed for Reuse potential and not automatically become Waste. We have lots of evidence that Charities, Homeless Support Groups, Womens Aid groups and individual people in need, are constantly looking for these goods. We're looking for you as consumers to get involved and offer them to EEESafe to see if we can find a Local Group who conduct Safe Repairs and help their own community, who would like to have the item. You can help by donating them to us at our Website and offer your item.
