I am on a mission to become a sustainable entrepreneur. I call it my ‘Expedition Sustainable Entrepreneurship’. I want to set up a company which contributes to a better environment and the well-being of people. Financial profit is a means, not an end. To realize this mission, I will work in 5 different sustainable start-ups in Africa, the Middle East and Europe. I want to work in companies providing a sustainable solution for issues in the sectors of energy, food, waste, buildings or mobility. I want to deploy my knowledge skills and network to solve a challenge these green entrepreneurs are facing. Also I want to organize at least one MakeSense hold-up for each of these start-ups. In the same time, my project will help me to develop a business model for my own sustainable company, gain professional experience, build a network and learn more about sustainable entrepreneurship.
I am travelling over land or sea, preferably by hitchhiking. While travelling I meet up with change makers in the fields of sustainability, entrepreneurship and alternative living. I want to understand what drives them. I want to know how they envision the future. I want to be inspired by them. In the same time I want to help them with challenges they are facing.
