This is Joris. I’m a green changemaker and I’m doing a Green Sense Tour. On this tour I'm travelling for 10 months, meeting with green changemakers and most importantly helping sustainable entrepreneurs. I’ve decided to go on this Tour to realize my mission: set up a sustainable business. By meeting with, talking to and working for green entrepreneurs and changemakers, I gain precious experience for my own business.
I’m conducting this Green Sense Tour with support of MakeSense, a powerful community of over 800 young change makers around the world who are passionate about helping social entrepreneurs. While travelling I organize MakeSense hold-ups (creativity workshops to help social entrepreneurs with a challenge) and Sense Drinks (informal events where changemakers, social entrepreneurs and people interested meet).
Furthermore, I’m doing four periods of consultancy in which I help a sustainable entrepreneur with a challenge he/she has in return for food and accommodation. In October-November I worked at Yesilist, the green platform in Turkey, on their strategy, business model, marketing and community building. January and February I will help sustainable entrepreneurs of Enactus in Morocco. My fields of expertise are strategy, project management, operations management and HR.
How could you help me? I would be very grateful to you if you would know any interesting sustainable entrepreneurs in West-Africa (could be countries from Senegal to Benin and all countries in between) who could use my consultancy services. I’m looking for entrepreneurs in the fields of waste management, sustainable transport, sustainable building, energy efficiency, renewable energy and sustainable tourism.
Thank you very much for your questions and your motivation to pursuit such an interesting and exciting journey!
